On the city streets, I got the tunes in my box
I'll play the Chili Pepper so the public can rock
Excuse me mister, won't you hear my thought?
I play in a band, yeah, we're called the Red Hots
HAPPY belated YOUTH DAY TO ALL... the youths out there?
Today was pretty alright. My mom told me some of my family secrets and i realised something. If i was to film the life of my family from my great grandmother till me now, it would be a bloody TV serial or a long drama. Never knew that my family got so much stories. Some are really so drama mama kind. Oh well...
Today i went to meet Owen. Haven't met him for an extire year already. Went to meet him at Raffles City and from there, we took a short walk over to Peninsular Shopping Centre to look around at some guitar stuff. Saw a few really nice Gibsons over at the 2nd hand store. All the looking around made me feel like getting a Semi-Hallow guitar, something like this:
Gibson ES-335 Dot
Since i've already got a Les Paul and Stratocaster, the ES-355's really appealing to me. These kinda guitars are actually very famous back in the 50's and are used for jazz/blues/rock n' roll kinda music. Oh well, when i learn to play properly, might pick one 2nd hand one up.
Went to Davis Guitar and got my guitar strings. DR "Tite-Fit" Electric & D'Addario EXL120 Super Light. Just now already fitted my Les Paul with the D'Addario EXL120 Super Light. Now just gotta wait for Taufik to help me with the Roadstar cause of Ibanez
s Powerocker tremolo system, the way to change the strings is slightly different. Not so direct unlike my bass and Les Paul. And of course, with Taufik's help, i dun need to sacrifice my $15 at Davis, LOL.
Anyhoo, after that we made our way down to Marina Square.
It's been quite some time since i've went to Marina Square. We went to have lunch at Carl's Jr. and after that, went to shop around, arcade and pool. When i was pooling, i saw a group of chicks and realise that, even though if you're not DAMN pretty or DAMN hot, with the proper dressing and clothings, and of course, the right attitude, you can look much more appealing. No wonder i kept losing to Owen today. LOL.
Went over to Starbucks to just chill and relax. Saw a group of chicks with their white iBook. Yes, 2 white iBook on the table. , no... looks more like 2 white MacBook. Very nice... i mean the laptop. Haha. Ordered a Chocolate Chip cream thing and he ordered a Vanilla Frap. He reason why he asked me out was actually to help him install, or rather troubleshoot his Fujitsu. But the problem cant be solve unless i have the Windows XP CD with, Mr Owen Ho had lost. So there was nothing i could do besides chatting with him and relax our sore, tired feets.
Took this photo from Marina Square. Yes, this beautiful shot of Singapore was taken from inside Royal Sporting House. When i saw the view, i went, WOW. The view was quite damn nice. Hahaha. Looks pro too right? LOL.
Took the free shuttle bus down to town and went to walk around in Taka. I tell you, it was so crowded ok. So many different kinds of people shopping for different kinds of things. Probably as crowded as Marina Square. Got Ah Beng, Rich Tai Tais, Spoilt brats, Ah Lian, Family Man, any kind of people you can think of and/or imagine.
Owen wanted to drop by to say hi to his aunt, who is working over at the Bobbi Brown counter inside Taka. Once there, Owen asked her to take our her phone to show off to me... a Motorola D&G Razr V3. WOOOOOOOO...
After that, i went home.
Fix on the new guitar strings
and learn how to play "Wonderful Tonight" on the guitar.
:)
IM TIRED.
Good night.
